Our Journey into FPV Drone Filming

FPV (First Person View) drones have been around many years, you may have seen videos of the fast paced drone racing competitions that take place each year.  More recently however the technology has improved, both in the camera remote feed systems which now makes it a viable solution for commercial drone filming, as well as the cameras mounted to capture the actual footage.

Unlike the ‘traditional’ drones which we use for our other aerial filming services, FPV drones are custom built and require a many months of training in order to be able to achieve the type of shots which make them unique.

Using state of the art FPV Googles our pilots are able to see a high resolution video feed at 120fps.  This opens up a whole new world of cinematography allowing for both fast pace close proximity flying as well as smooth and slow shots navigating through tight spaces and obstacles.  With complete manual control of the FPV drone the possibilities are almost endless.
